A living legacy
A biodynamic farm rooted in Altamira
Finca la Gracia is located in the Altamira area of La Consulta, in the Department of San Carlos within Valle de Uco.
It is a family project shaped over several decades and carries the seal of old farms and what biodynamic agriculture understands as a living organism.
Here the animal and plant worlds coexist inside an agroecosystem directed in harmony by the self.
Diverse terroir
Organic farming with crops, vines and grazing sheep
The estate produces nuts, horticultural crops, vines and different aromatic plants.
Flocks of sheep graze through the property and the vineyards are cultivated under certified organic management.
Natural meadows are used as plant cover in the rows and crop rotation remains part of the farming rhythm.
Altitude and soils
Freshness, slow ripening and stony alluvial depth
At 1,100 meters above sea level and close to the Andean massif, the vineyard develops a microclimate that delays ripening by around two weeks compared with other areas of Valle de Uco.
That extra time helps preserve acidity while building aromatic richness, fruit intensity, mouth freshness and fine tannin tension.
The soils have a sandy-loam texture with rounded river stones in the profile and calcareous sediments.
